The Galley

All About The Galley

When it comes to innovation in the cruise industry, Virgin Voyages has certainly made a mark with its unique restaurant concept: The Galley. Let's break down what this place has to offer.

The Galley isn't your typical buffet that many might expect on a cruise. Imagine a dining hall where each station has a unique personality, and the food changes based on the time of day. There are bakeries, taco stands, sushi bars, and even a 24-hour diner-style restaurant. But here's the twist: instead of getting up and serving yourself, you choose a place to sit, and a server comes to you, takes your order, and brings your dishes directly from the different stations. Quite different, right?

Location and Ambiance

The Galley is located on Deck 15 at the back, offering both indoor and outdoor seating options. Additionally, for those on the go, there's a grab-and-go section, perfect for those times when you just want a quick snack while exploring the ship.

Highlighted Stations

The Daily Mix: Here, you'll find a salad bar where you can customize to your liking. Plus, in the morning, they serve bagels, cereals, and more.

Diner & Dash: Operating 24/7, it's your stop for classic breakfasts or diner-style dinners.

Bento Baby: This is where bento boxes with sushi and other accompaniments are served, although it's worth noting that the freshness of the sushi can vary.

Burger Bar: As the name suggests, it's the burger corner, and while the variety might seem limited, the dishes they offer are consistent.

Let's Taco bout it: Probably one of the most popular. Although the menu is limited, the taco options are consistently good.

Hot Off The Press: A corner dedicated to sandwiches and paninis that rarely disappoints.

Noodle Around: Despite its more limited hours, this station serves Asian-style noodles.

The Sweet Side & Well Bread: For dessert and bread enthusiasts, this is your spot. From basic cakes to more elaborate fruit tarts, it's a stop you won't want to miss.

The Daily Mix Salad Bar: Healthy options ranging from yogurt and oats in the morning to soups and salads in the afternoon and evening.

Now, a quick Freestyle Tip: if you want to have snacks ready for those late-night hunger moments, consider grabbing some of the takeout boxes and storing them in your cabin's fridge.
